Context

Uganda’s Vision 2040 and NDP III emphasize a healthy and productive population. However, elderly persons often lack access to food, shelter, healthcare, and social support. In Bududa, existing interventions are small-scale and donor-driven, leaving gaps in long-term care. This project addresses these gaps by creating a holistic, community-based model for elderly care.
